ABVI/Palmer Inn

I planned to stay here based on the ratings I saw, and because it was halfway between destinations. The place was nice and clean for my family of 5. The owners seem to care about their facility because rooms were clean, beds were nice and comfy, plenty of pillow variety, clean bathroom, cozy/quiet/off main road, etc. The cost was very reasonable ~ $50, another reason for my choice of stay. We left early so didn't get to sample the continental breakfast at 6am, but overall I was quite happy with the stay. Good combination of value and cleanliness. I plan to make this our annual stopping place. Pizza Hut is about 200 feet away from motel, too!

Great little place / good value. Very accommodating owners and staff (although they did use the leaf blower on the parking lot too early in the morning). Fridge, microwave, hairdryer & coffee in the room. There is an outdoor pool but I didn't use it.

Rating it for what it is - it's a budget motel, and it does a good job of that. It was a comfortable room, perhaps a little old but clean and well-maintained. The location was safe & convenient too, near I-80. We arrived late at night and felt perfectly comfortable. The employees were all kind and helpful. We only stayed for one night but it was a comfortable place to rest our heads and seems like it would be good for longer stays too - there was a vending room as well as laundry available for customers. Didn't try the breakfast so I can't speak to that. Overall a decent little budget motel to get some rest. Only knocked off a star for the price - it wasn't horribly expensive or anything, but it felt a little overpriced.

What a pleasant surprise. I had my concerns, but my room was bug free! And I looked very carefully. The room was clean, but aged, which was OK to me. Nice beds and 32in flat screen tv. Decent bathroom. I got a plain and simple room with a great price. I will stay here again!

Definitely a nice room for the price.. charged an extra fee for the dog. Ordered a pet friendly room online and paid in full.. but was charged 24$ extra upon arrival.. not terrible just would've been nice to have it posted online at booking. Overall very happy with the hotel and breakfast options will stay again

We enjoyed our stay. My favorite part of the room- how quiet it was at night. Since the door goes out to the parking lot, there wasn’t a hallway of loud people or doors shutting. They did a nice job of spacing the guests so there was empty rooms in between. It was definitely nice/clean enough to stay again for the price, and because they allow dogs.

Although a little farther from the highway than we usually stay, this is a quaint little place with great service and comfortable rooms. We experienced an issue with the shower not draining and the staff was very accommodating in finding a solution. The complimentary breakfast is somewhat lacking. They are a dog friendly hotel, which is importantly to us.

This is a small family run motel. Very very nice for the price. Our room was completely remodeled. Reception area a bit shabby but don't let that turn you away. Super clean and quiet rooms. Pet friendly. Has very nice breakfast included. Nice people.

This is a very good budget motel. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very firm, but I was tied and slept well. Internet speeds were fast enough for streaming Netflix without too many hiccups. It is close to the freeway and right by a Mexican restaurant.

For the price it was a nice room, comfortable beds and other than a little traffic on highway occasionally, very quiet. We brought our dog and the very sweet lady that checked us in was considerate to give us a non smoking dog friendly room on a corner of building with no one in room next door. We appreciated it for less noise so he wouldn't bark if heard noises and more we had more privacy. It was also right next to a nice patch of grass for him. She was also very helpful checking if we'd eaten since we came in a bit later in evening letting me know to order food soon since many places closed at 9. When we left I accidentally dropped my phone and didn't realize right away. They had found it and held it at front for me and went and got it when I went back to room to check. We'd definitely stay again if in area.
